Biography
Sergio Jesus Silva Cajahuaringa was born on October 8, 1969 in Lima city, Peru to parents Juan Silva Cataño and Iris Cajahuaringa Isidro, both educators.
In 1988, Silva Cajahuaringa attended the National School of Fine Arts of Peru. His academic mentors included renowned artists Eduardo Cervantes, Raul Alvarez and Miguel Nieri
Silva Cajahuaringa graduated and awarded the accolade "Diamond Anniversary" Graduation Class of 1993. The constant work and concern for painting led Sergio Cajahuaringa to investigate new horizons. He traveled from 1995 to 1997 through Europe and Central America where he made exhibitions leaving a pleasant and rewarding artistic experience.
Since then Silva Cajahuaringa begins international exhibitions, traveling around 14 countries and showing his works in 21 countries, four continents.
To the present, Silva Cajahuaringa persists his research in the Andean cultural past which led him to constant travels through the country in order to find new elements that could be amalgamated in his surreal - abstract painting style.
Silva Cajahuaringa graduated and awarded the accolade "Diamond Anniversary" Graduation Class of 1993.
